Over the last ten years, there has been an aggressive campaign to remove USTs, underground storage tanks, and AST, above ground storage tanks, due to leaking chemicals that are leaching into the soil.
Concern for the environment, especially over older tanks that are not standard compliant, has led to an upsurge in UST and AST removals.
Western Abatement, Inc. uses a variety of systems to clean and dispose of USTs and ASTs. We excavate the UST or dislodge the AST, remove the piping, and transfer the containers to a remote and confined space. We then manually clean them to achieve gas-free conditions before we dispose of them.
