Job Titles: Asbestos Laborer and/or Asbestos Supervisor Technicians; and Equipment Operators with Asbestos background.
Job Description:
Technicians are expected to have current or past proof of training certificates in one or more areas listed below.
Safely identify, remove, package, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) from structures using hand/power tools, while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE); build containment areas, clean and decontaminate work areas and equipment, including using decontamination showers; and follow strict EPA, OSHA, and local regulations.
- Asbestos Training Certificate
- Lead Training Certificate
- HAZWOPER Training Certificate
Requirements:
- Must provide a valid Identification card and Social Security card.
- Ability to wear a respirator and other heavy PPE for long periods, lift 50 pound objects, and work in confined spaces.
- Must speak English and/or Spanish.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation:
Hourly rate of pay is contingent on past work experience.
